Adult > 18 years with Hypertension
> 60 BP goal < 150 / 90
Age < 60 BP < 140 / 90
Nonblack CCB, Ace inhibitors, Thiazide diuretics
Black CCB, Thiazide
with CKD initiate ace inhibitor or ARB
BP < 140 /90
Principles: start one drug, titrate to maximum then add another
B - one drug, then add another before achieving max of first
C - 2 drugs at the same time, combo bill if bp is greater than 20/10mmhg
Ace inhitibor lisinopril
calcium channel blocker amdlidipine 5-10mg, nifedipine ER 30 - 90mg
Beta blocker nebivolol 5-10mg
vasodilators hydralazine 25-100mg twice daily
